| UCT councils across North America
conduct Seeds of Hope fund-raising campaigns each spring to benefit people with intellectual disabilities.
This project, in which council members distribute packets
of wildflower seeds in return for donations, is one of UCT's largest money-making projects
for local programs to support the organization's top civic project. The Campaign UCT's Seeds of Hope campaign is simple to implement and has proven to be an effective fund-raiser. Participating councils assemble a campaign crew that disburses Seeds of Hope wildflower seed packets in local shopping malls and on community street corners in exchange for contributions to benefit local programs for people with intellectual disabilities. How to Get Involved It's easy to become involved in this worthwhile project. Contact the Fraternal Department at amarshall@uct.org or at (800) 848-0123, ext. 126, for seed packets. The council pays just 18¢ for each seed packet ordered. Anything collected over the initial investment of the seed packets belongs to your council for its programs to benefit people with intellectual disabilities. The Benefits The Seeds of Hope campaign offers several benefits to local councils: Back to the intellectual disabilities page | |||||
