Start planning now for our 2012 convention in Calgary!

UCT's 125th annual convention will take place June 30-July 3, 2012, in the beautiful boomtown of Calgary, Alberta, at the Hyatt Regency Calgary. It will be the first convention in Canada since 1998, and it promises to be one you won't want to miss.

In case you don't know, Calgary is located in a region of foothills and high plains in the south of Alberta, just east of the Canadian Rockies. Calgary is the largest city in the province and thoroughly modern while still retaining much of its traditional culture of hotel saloons, western bars, night clubs, football and hockey. It's also the centre for country music in Canada, which has earned it the nickname "Nashville of the North."

Downtown Calgary can be easily accessed from the Hyatt Regency using the city's C-Train light rail (LRT) transit system. The downtown area features a number of attractions including the popular 17 Avenue, an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, cultural venues, public squares and shopping.

Just outside the city you can experience some of Alberta's gorgeous foothills, mountains, prairies or Badlands by visiting the mountain resort towns of Banff, Lake Louise, and Canmore. You won't want to miss this Canadian adventure, so start planning now – and watch for more details to come.
