Sudbury, Ont. Council 1051 wins first quarter photo contest!

COLUMBUS, Ohio, January 2012 - Congratulations to Sudbury, Ont. Council 1051, the winner of our October-December 2011 photo contest! The council's submission of its members in action during its Adopt-a-Road volunteer project is a great example of the kind of photos we encourage councils to submit to us. Council 1051 will receive a Flip UltraHD Video Camera for its efforts.

We're now accepting submissions for the January-March 2012 contest quarter. We need you to send us ACTION photos of your local council community service activities for use in our magazine, on our website and on our future Facebook page.

Send photos of your council in action to the Public Relations Department. Make sure to send photos of each activity as soon as possible after the event. Don't worry, we'll keep track of the photos as they're received.

At the end of each quarter a team of judges will choose the most appealing, action-oriented photo - and that council will receive a Flip UltraHD Video Camera. The camera can be used to shoot more council photos - and film video of events for possible use on our future YouTube channel. Councils that send photos will receive one total point toward the Medal of Honor program.

Remaining contest quarters are:
• January-March 2012
• April-June 2012
• July- September 2012

Don't delay! Your council may be the next winner! Send your digital photos - and accompanying story information - to lfisher@uct.org or mail color prints to: Public Relations Department, UCT, 1801 Watermark Drive, Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43215.
