2011 annual convention set for Jacksonville, Florida

COLUMBUS, March 2011 - Downtown Jacksonville, Florida, is a sprawling combination of modern high rise office buildings, historic architecture and plenty of shopping, dining, museums and historical places.

Nearly in the center of this collage is the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, the site of our 124th annual convention July 17-20, 2011. Situated on the north bank of the St. Johns River, the luxurious hotel treats guests to spectacular river views and downtown's neon-trimmed skyline.

Just two blocks west of the Hyatt Regency is the popular Jacksonville Landing, a riverfront destination for unique shopping experiences, dining and nightlife. The Landing is also a great place to pick up the water taxi to take you across the river where there are more exciting venues to explore.

If you're feeling really adventurous rent a car and drive the short distance to the historic city of St. Augustine. Founded in 1565, St. Augustine is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in the United States. It offers a number of sites to visit, including Castillo de San Marcos, the Henry Flagler-built Ponce de Leon Hotel (now Flagler College), the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park, and the Spanish Quarter Village to name only a few.
