CEO Joe Hoffman cycles to end cancer
COLUMBUS, Ohio, August 2011 - UCT's CEO Joe Hoffman and his wife Loretta cycled to end cancer during the third annual Pelotonia bicycle ride to raise funds for the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital (The James). The James is part of the Ohio State University Medical Center.
The Hoffmans rode 180 miles from Columbus to Athens, Ohio, and back, raising more than $4,400 to help end cancer. UCT employees donated $1,278 to this amount.
About 4,986 cyclists from 38 states took part in the ride. More than $8.8 million has been raised this year - and that total is expected to exceed $10 million before the Oct. 21 fundraising deadline.
