UCT makes generous donation to the James Cancer Hospital
COLUMBUS, January 2011 - CEO Joe Hoffman and Chairman of the Board Jim Walsh recently made a $10,000 endowment fund donation on behalf of UCT to the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (The James).
Theodoros Teknos, M.D., a professor at the Ohio State University Medical School and director of the Division of Head and Neck Surgery accepted the contribution on behalf of The James.
UCT established an endowment fund at The James in 1990 with a $25,000 contribution. The fund has since grown to more than $110,000 and supports The James' world-class cancer research programs. The James is one of only 40 institutions in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a "comprehensive" cancer center.
UCT's Board of Governors approved the $10,000 donation at the December 2010 Board meeting.
