Medicare Part D Being Offered

UCT has partnered with SilverScript Insurance Company (SSIC), a subsidiary of CVS Caremark, to market SSIC prescription drug plans for those choosing to take advantage of Medicare Part D insurance coverage for 2011. Annual enrollment for Medicare Part D takes place Nov. 15-Dec. 31, 2010.

The CVS Caremark Value plan offers prescription drug coverage at low monthly premiums. The plan is for Medicare-eligible beneficiaries who take a few prescriptions but want the assurance of knowing their plan provides comprehensive coverage should their health needs change. The plan also offers the CMS-mandated 93 percent co-insurance on generic drugs in the coverage gap.

The CVS Caremark Plus plan is for Medicare-eligible beneficiaries who want enhanced benefits. The plan has no deductible and a 5-tier formulary. It offers reduced co-pays on preferred generic medications at preferred retail and mail pharmacies during the initial coverage phase. The plan also offers gap coverage in excess of the CMS-mandated coverage.
