May E. Tisdale Scholarship Fund

 
2010 marked the golden anniversary of the May E. Tisdale Scholarship Fund (formerly the May E. Tisdale Educational Trust Fund), which awards college scholarships to the children and grandchildren of UCT members.

Established by UCT’s Supreme Auxiliary, the program is administered by Auxiliary Past Supreme Counselors and is supported through memorials, gifts and donations. The number of scholarships awarded through the fund each year varies according to contributions received. For its 50th anniversary, the May E. Tisdale Scholarship Fund Committee went for the gold by setting a goal of granting 50 scholarships of $500 each to qualified applicants. Thanks to donations from individuals and local and Grand councils, the committee reached its goal and celebrated with an historical presentation and anniversary cake at the convention.
