Drug Awareness
UCT councils are urged to get involved in the fight against drug use. UCT stresses “Hugs Not Drugs” to encourage a family-oriented approach to dealing with the international problem. Councils emphasize education as an important part of dealing with drugs in their communities and work with programs like D.A.R.E. that focus on such endeavors. In 2008, 106 UCT members volunteered 277 hours and spent $24,119 supporting drug awareness programs in their communities. For more information about UCT's drug awareness activities, contact the Fraternal Department at amarshall@uct.org or at (800) 848-0123, ext. 126. | ||||
