The Order of United Commercial Travelers of
America (UCT) chose UnitedHealthcare as its preferred Medicare
Part D prescription drug partner to improve your coverage. You’re
probably feeling better already.
Medicare’s prescription drug benefit, known as Part D,
went into effect Jan. 1, 2006. The program, available only in the
United States, is designed to save you money on your prescription
drugs by providing you with coverage that helps pay for both
brand name and generic drugs. Everyone who is entitled to Medicare
Part A or enrolled in Medicare Part B is eligible for a Medicare
prescription drug plan. Enrollment is voluntary and must be done
through a private insurer like UCT.
We know that prescription drug coverage is an important addition
to your health insurance. That’s why UCT has partnered with
UnitedHealthcare.
The UnitedHealth Rx Basic plan
is a good choice if you don't take many prescription drugs, or if you
think your drug needs will not change dramatically in the future. It
includes brand-name prescription drugs, or their generic versions, covered
by Medicare Part D.
The annual enrollment for Medicare prescription
drug coverage begins Nov. 15 and ends Dec. 31. You can sign up for a Medicare
Part D prescription drug plan at other times throughout the year
if you are newly eligible for Medicare or eligible for a Special
Election Period (such as losing creditable coverage from a
former employer). Make sure you’re covered by the UnitedHealth Rx plan.
This plan provides the features that matter most to you:
- Predictable and affordable co-pays as low as $7
- A stable formulary - drugs won't be removed from the covered list
during the year
- Convenient 90-day supply available at most participating retail
pharmacies
- Additional savings through the Preferred Mail Service option
If you’re eligible for Medicare Part D coverage but haven’t
picked a plan yet, or if you’re currently enrolled but want
to check out your options, now is the time to learn more about
the UnitedHealth Rx plans. For more information, contact UnitedHealthcare
at (888) 381-8581, Monday-Friday,
