Today's senior citizens are faced with many options
when it comes to health care after age 65. Neither the Medicare program nor managed care was intended to pay
the entire hospital, doctor or nursing home bill. Many seniors will need supplemental insurance to
pay expenses
not covered by Medicare. That’s where UCT’s Medicare supplement insurance becomes important. Our insurance coverage helps give you the financial resources to cover expenses Medicare won’t. What is Standardization? Congress passed a law in 1990 limiting the number of possible Medicare supplement plans that insurers can offer. As a result, insurers can offer only 10 combinations of benefits, lettered A through J, plus two high deductible plans. UCT offers plans A, B, C, D, F and G¹ in the United States at affordable prices.² Why is Open Enrollment Important? You cannot be turned down for medical reasons if you submit an application during the six months of open enrollment beginning with the first month in which you are 65 years of age or older and you first enrolled for benefits under Part B. After this period, your health will be taken into consideration before a policy is issued. ¹Some plans may not be available in your state. ²The amount of benefits provided depends upon the plan selected. Premium amounts vary according to the selected plan. | ||||
