UCT members help Greenville’s Meyer Center for Special Children

UCT really is the place where community and compassion unite – and we make sure good causes in and around our convention host cities know that every July. This year’s convention service project was collecting needed items for Greenville’s Meyer Center for Special Children, whose mission is to help children living with disabilities reach their maximum potential.

UCT members were asked to help support this worthy cause by donating much-needed items like baby wipes, paper towels, Ziploc bags, and plastic forks and spoons to help the children the Meyer Center is dedicated to. As always, members outdid themselves by contributing over seven boxes and more than $6,000 to the center. Thank you, UCT members!

Charlie Cavallaro honored with UCT’s Lifetime Achievement Award

Charlie Cavallaro of Providence, Rhode Island Council 67 was named the recipient of UCT’s Lifetime Achievement Award during our convention. He was recognized for the exceptional volunteer contributions he has made over the years to his community and his dedication to UCT and his local and regional councils. Congratulations, Charlie!

Watch for other convention highlights coming soon – and think about joining us for next year’s convention being held July 2-5, 2018, in Savannah, Georgia!
