The UCT Charities Trust Fund was established in 1997 as a way to continue this important support, primarily by continuing to provide scholarship assistance to individuals wishing to teach people with intellectual disabilities. We encourage you to learn more about this important fund and the various ways that you might contribute to it.   For more than 40 years, UCT has been dedicated to assisting people with intellectual disabilities. Since 1961, the organization has granted over $3 million in scholarships to nearly 10,000 students and teachers seeking degrees or certification in special education. UCT has also been a proud sponsor of Special Olympics and local councils continue to raise funds and volunteer hundreds of hours to support this program. UCT members have also given their time and money to various activities, education, housing, and training and self-development programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
