Change A Life in Just One Click

Volunteering is an amazing thing…not only does it benefit the cause you are supporting, but volunteering effects the volunteer.

A recent study by the Corporation for National and Community Service, Office of Research and Policy Development titled, The Health Benefits of Volunteering: A Review of Recent Research, Washington, DC 2007, showed that those who volunteer have lower mortality rates, greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life than those who do not volunteer.  Volunteering is a win-win!

And speaking of volunteering, UCT was founded over 125 years ago with the goal to give back to those who are in need.  Today, that goal still holds true and UCT members are changing lives every day!  Join UCT today and see how good it can feel to give back – you can do your part in one of 3 ways:

     1. Become a UCT member and participate in community service projects – UCT offers 2 membership options: a) join an existing local council near you, or b) start your own council with 9 of your closest friends or volunteer buddies!  To learn more, visit our Facebook app

     2. Buy an insurance policy – UCT’s non-profit status means that instead of paying dividends to shareholders, our insurance operations help support members’ local community service efforts across the U.S. and Canada.  View our available products

     3. DO BOTH! – Join UCT as an insurance policy holder AND be an active member in your local community to help direct where your funds are going, and which causes they are helping!

  1. Good comments re volunteering. I am in my 70s and still have a reason to get up in the morning to do my part. I am actively involved in all our local council activities and work at most of their functions while co-ordinating and helping out with my church / rectory repairs and renovations. As a 30plus year member of UCT I take great pride in our organization and try to unite with my community.
