I recently had the pleasure of attending the Nebraska-Kansas Regional Convention this year. It was held at the beautiful Mahoney State Park in Ashland, NE. I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up and saw that there were 59 UCT members in attendance! What a great turnout!!
During my presentation we talked about the upcoming UCT annual convention in Greenville, SC; highlights from the UCT Home Office and operations; new programs and incentives; the Kaye Trainer International Capital Campaign; the UCT website, Facebook page, and blog; as well as the region’s community service projects! They also let me make a few recommendations on how they can spruce up their convention!
This is one of our most active regions when it comes to community service and financial giving. During the 2016-2017 UCT membership year, this region alone donated more than $20,000 to local causes in their communities. And that’s just ONE of our regions!
Overall, it was a positive, hopeful, and light-hearted regional convention with lots of smiles, laughter and good spirits. This region is wanting and willing to accept change and do whatever it takes to keep UCT relevant in the future. I also believe it was extremely beneficial for both myself and the NE-KS region to have a home office representation present. I hope to be invited back the NE-KS Regional Convention, and to others in the upcoming years.
Keep up the great work Nebraska and Kansas! Thanks for having me and allowing me to take a selfie with you all! Remember, all of us at the UCT Home Office are here to help with whatever you may need. Keep the pictures and stories coming! We love sharing all the great things you’re doing to make an impact in your region.
