UCT in Action

Making a Difference Together

Stop procrastinating! Start the 130 Challenge today!

Posted on Oct 25, 2017 by: David Knapp

Seriously, what are you waiting for? There’s no better time than the present to get involved with the 130 Challenge. It is actually something you can accomplish with a little planning and enthusiasm. Just ask members of Regina, Saskatchewan 266 and Sudbury, Ontario 1051 who have already completed the council portion of the challenge. Or even better – UCT member George Thomas who not only helped his council, Regina 266, complete the challenge, but he’s also completed the individual requirements and continues to be involved with the 130 Challenge!

And if you need a little more motivation, UCT President Numan Loafman has already signed up six new members and UCT Vice President Chris Phelan has added 14 new members! Now that is something to celebrate! Remember we’re only asking you to sign up one new member.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the 130 Challenge is a fun way to celebrate all the great things you and your council are ALREADY doing. You’re already putting in volunteer hours, donating money and signing up new members (hopefully). Now all we want you to do is document it, snap a few pictures and send it all in to the UCT fraternal team. Every penny and every minute you put towards community service as part of your UCT local council makes a difference!

Don’t forget the whole reason we kicked off this campaign: so we can celebrate and recognize UCT’s 130th anniversary next year!

If you’re not sure where to begin or if you are having trouble filling out the 130 report, just send me an email or give me a call: 1-800-848-0123 ext. 1148 and I’ll help you out. Keep an eye out for the October version of the 130 Challenge newsletter. I’ll be emailing it, so make sure you’re signed up for our email blasts. (I can help with that too.)

I look forward to hearing from more of you about how you’re tackling the 130 Challenge and celebrating the spirit of UCT.
