Posted on Nov 14, 2013 by: UCT

UCT Gives Back…AGAIN and this time we’re giving away $15,000! We want YOUR school to submit a video for a chance to win.

UCT Gives Back is a video contest open to schools with programs for people with intellectual disabilities, or universities with programs to train special education teachers. The first-place winner will receive $10,000 and the second-place winner will receive $5,000

I know what you’re thinking…creating a video will be difficult and the submission process is probably complicated. But we made is EASY TO ENTER! Ask yourself these questions:

  • Does your U.S. or Canadian school have a program for students with intellectual disabilities, or does your university have a program to train special education teachers?
  • Do you have a video camera or a smartphone?
  • Do you want your school to win $10,000?

If you answered yes to these questions, then watch the video on how to nominate your school, and enter to win $10,000!

Videos will be judged on your school’s demonstrated dedication and passion for working with persons with intellectual disabilities, as well as your creativity and clarity in communication. Only one entry per school will be accepted and videos cannot exceed 2 minutes in length, so get creative and submit your best video!

All entries must be submitted by Dec. 31, 2013. Video finalists will be posted on UCT’s Facebook page February 3-March 14 for fans to vote on the winner, and you can vote once per day. The winning schools will be announced and awarded the $10,000 first-place and $5,000 second-place cash prizes in late March 2014. See the offical contest rules or visit www.uct.org for more information.
