UCT gives back to people with intellectual disabilities by sponsoring a video contest for $10,000!

UCT is excited to announce our upcoming video contest, “UCT Gives Back” which will award $10,000 to one very deserving school.

UCT Gives Back is open to schools with programs for people with intellectual disabilities or universities with programs to train special education teachers – and the winning school will receive $10,000!

Helping people with intellectual disabilities has been UCT’s number one community service project for over 50 years. Members support local schools, workshops, camps and other programs for people with intellectual disabilities. UCT also supports Special Olympics and the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) and awards scholarships to college students seeking to teach people with intellectual disabilities.

“UCT Gives Back” FAQs:

When can our School Submit a Video? – The contest will go live October 2, so be sure to check our Facebook page frequently for updates and complete contest rules.

What should our Video Include? – Your video should be no longer than 2 minutes and should explain why your school’s program deserves a $10,000 donation from UCT.

What will Videos be Judged on? – Videos will be judged on two features, 1) your school’s passion for working with people with intellectual disabilities, and 2) creativity and clarity of communication.

How will the Winner be Selected? – A select committee will review the videos and the top video finalists will be posted on UCT’s Facebook page for our fans to vote on the winner. The winning school will be announced and awarded the $10,000 cash prize in early 2013.
