As we do every year, our employees here at UCT are involved in the Operation Feed campaign here in Columbus. Operation Feed is an effort to help the Mid Ohio Foodbank provide food for people in need throughoutCentral Ohio. This year’s campaign is nearing the end, and we expect to achieve our goal.
The need has always been there, but in recent years it has become even more urgent. Last year, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank distributed more than 46 million pounds of food, enough to provide over 100,000 meals each day.
Many companies in the Columbus Metro Area participate in Operation Feed, and it is a very effective campaign. Many individuals volunteer at the Foodbank to help them with their efforts.
Despite all these efforts, the need remains urgent. If your company does not participate in Operation Feed, encourage them to do so next year.
There are many ways to get involved. You can participate in various community campaigns, organize a campaign, hold a virtual food drive, etc.
There are also many ways for individuals to volunteer.
Get involved, and help ensure that no one goes hungry.
