Students are awarded Ann Marshall Scholarship Program scholarships

Posted on May 23, 2022 by: David Knapp

Created to award scholarships to members and the children and grandchildren of members, the Ann Marshall Scholarship Program just granted $700 scholarships each to 26 students from across the U.S. and Canada for a total of $18,200.

Now in its second year, the program is designed to be self-sufficient, and these scholarships are possible thanks to donations from individuals, UCT local and regional councils, and memorials and gifts. Generous donations of more than $25,000 were received this year and are much appreciated. Thank you!

The scholarship is open to students for four years of college undergraduate studies, or two years of a two-year program or four years technical college studies. The deadline date for applications each year is May 1. Scholarship amounts vary each according to the number of applications received and the program’s total assets, and scholarship amounts awarded each year are the same for each student receiving assistance. Applications are reviewed, recipients selected, and funds disbursed by a home office committee with UCT Board of Governors oversight.

The program was named after UCT’s Fraternal and Scholarship Coordinator Ann Marshall who helped to administer our scholarship programs for many years and was dedicated to doing so. We’re sure she would be pleased with how the program is helping students throughout North America.

All contributions large and small are appreciated as they benefit the children and grandchildren of our members. Donations may be sent to UCT, Attn: Anita Neal, 1801 Watermark Drive, Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43215. If you wish to contribute, please include a note stating that the donation is for the Ann Marshall Scholarship Program.

The list of 2022 Ann Marshall Scholarship Program scholarship award recipients is available here. Congratulations to everyone!
