UCT in Action

Making a Difference Together

What’s new on our website?

Posted on Jun 11, 2015 by: UCT

UCT’s website has undergone some updates recently. One item that is immediately apparent is the “What is UCT?” video on the landing page. It highlights the community service and volunteer work that UCT members have been doing for over 125 years. The expertise our members have developed and the support from Home Office staff can help anyone who wants to join us achieve meaningful change.

We’ve also added a section called the “Members’ Area” with a pull down menu in the upper right corner of the landing page. In that menu you can find a wide array of information about what our members are involved in, and programs available to members to help them in their volunteer work.

For example, the Leadership Development Program is a program available to any UCT council to help them work with local high school students. It is a great program that benefits the local council, the high school, and the students. There is also a page on Join Hands Day, a volunteer day that many of our members across North America participate in.

If you are not already a member, under “Join UCT” there is a pull down menu with an item called “Why join UCT?” It provides compelling information on the benefits of membership. If you decide you want to join, the “Become a Member” icon on the left side of the page will take you to an online membership application. It’s easy and fast.
Join us. We can help you make a difference.
