Posted on Jan 14, 2020 by: David Knapp

Hey, y’all, we’re headed to Lexington, Kentucky, June 27-29 for the 2020 UCT convention at the Hyatt Regency, and we want you to join us!

The Hyatt Regency Lexington offers a number of amenities like room service, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, a fitness center and indoor swimming pool, the onsite Bluefire Bar & Grill, and the prerequisite gift shop. It’s only one mile from the University of Kentucky, putting it at the heart of everything Lexington has to offer including world-class shopping, dining and entertainment.

Rooms are $129 (plus tax) per night for single, double, triple and quadruple occupancy and will be offered, based on availability, to attendees three days prior to and three days following the convention. Reservations MUST be made by no later than June 4, 2020, by calling 800.233.1234. Make sure to give them the UCT Group Code: G-UCOM. You can also register online by using the Hyatt passkey: https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/LEXRL/G-UCMM.

If you’re thinking of making a vacation of it, there are lots of interesting things to do, see and experience in the Bluegrass region. Horse lovers can check out nearly 50 breeds of horses, plus museums, art galleries, shows and demonstrations at the 1,200 acre Kentucky Horse Park and even meet some four-footed celebrities in their own homes on a Horse Farm Tour. And if you like to gamble, you can try your luck at Keeneland Race Course during a race meet and/or take a tour of the grounds.

If history is more to your liking, you can visit four period historic homes of the area’s most famous citizens: Mary Todd Lincoln, Henry Clay, John Hunt Morgan and Joseph Bryan, a grand-nephew of Daniel Boone. Or you can wander through Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, the largest restored Shaker village in the world, with 34 original buildings on 3,000 acres.

Last but not least, you can just make it a party! Sip and savor your way across Lexington by picking up the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® at the nearby historic Woodford Reserve Distillery or at Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, Wild Turkey, James E. Pepper, Barrel House, Bluegrass Distillers and Town Branch. These aren’t just “visitor experiences” but real working distilleries. The only thing better than a good ‘ol classic is a bunch of good ‘ol classics.

Interested? Mark your calendars and and watch for more information coming from the home office. We hope to see you in June!
